weather brought lots of people to the
Clairvaux Christmas Carnivale
on Saturday 24th November.
Plenty of drinks, sunscreen and hats were the order of the day and everyone got into the carnival atmosphere. Open air tents provided shade outside for people to sit and view all the surrounding activities, while inside, the crowds gathered in air conditioned comfort to search the well stocked stalls for a bargain, or just to relax in the Tea Room with a snack and a cuppa.
Fairy Floss, as always, was popular with the children and the jumping castles, rides, rock climbing, face painting and much more kept them busy. When resting, people could sit and listen to some great musical entertainment provided, but I have to say, the Preps stole the show with their fabulous dance rendition of ‘Gangnam Style’
The children and staff of Clairvaux would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who donated either prizes, their time or other goods, to the wonderful organisers and volunteer helpers who did such an amazingly professional job, and to everyone who came to the Carnivale and generously bought lots of things. The children will certainly benefit in many ways from the proceeds of this wonderful event.
Although I was pretty busy helping to provide cold drinks for the thirsty crowd, I managed to sneak off a couple of times to catch a bit of the action on camera.
Of course there was much more to see and do, but for a quick snapshot of the day, check out the video below.

What a great Day was had by everyone! I sure loved the Prep dance it was so good to see them dance with such joy. B-B-Q stall where I helped was busy during lunch and I liked chatting to people as they came to grab something to eat and a can of drink.
Mrs V
Hi Mrs N,
The carnivale was the most amazing day ever! My favourite part was all of the stalls selling the most different things. It was great to hang with friends and have heaps of fun.
Big thanks to the organisers.
Alissa
It was the best day in my life, even though I only got to go on one ride because I got there at 3:30 and the Carnivale finished at 4:00.
Hi Mrs N,
I had so much fun at the Carnivale. My friends went on the Cha Cha so many times. We bought too many snow cones and ice creams so we went a bit hypo and we also had heaps of fun.
Bridget
Hi Bridget,
What a combination – Cha Cha, snow cones and icecreams! You must have a strong stomach!
Hey Mrs N,
It was so much fun. There was lots to do and see, lots of rides and fun things for the kids, the food was great and there was lots of sweets and yummy things for the kids to do. I also was a helper at the crazy hair and fake tattoo shop and we made lots of money from the Carnivale!
From Maggie
Hi Maggie,
Next time I’m going to get a fake tattoo, but NEVER a real one! Did you get one?
Hello Mrs. N,
I was a part of the choir and it was fun dancing and singing for everyone! I also loved helping my mum spray people’s hair at the Crazy Hair stall! It was funny seeing people with coloured streaks all through their hair. Can’t wait for next year!!
Love Paige.
