weather brought lots of people to the

Clairvaux  Christmas Carnivale

on Saturday 24th November.

Plenty of drinks, sunscreen and hats were the order of the day and everyone got into the carnival atmosphere. Open air tents provided shade outside for people to sit and view all the surrounding activities, while inside, the crowds gathered in air conditioned comfort to search the well stocked stalls for a bargain, or just to relax in the Tea Room with a snack and a cuppa.

Fairy Floss, as always, was popular with the children and the jumping castles, rides, rock climbing, face painting and much more kept them busy. When resting, people could sit and listen to some great musical entertainment provided, but I have to say, the Preps stole the show with their fabulous dance rendition of ‘Gangnam Style’

The children and staff of Clairvaux would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who donated either prizes, their time or other goods, to the wonderful organisers and volunteer helpers who did such an amazingly professional job, and to everyone who came to the Carnivale and generously bought lots of things. The children will certainly benefit in many ways from the proceeds of this wonderful event.

Although I was pretty busy helping to provide cold drinks for the thirsty crowd, I managed to sneak off a couple of times to catch a bit of the action on camera.
Of course there was much more to see and do, but for a quick snapshot of the day, check out the video below.

We couldn’t fit everything in here, so please leave a comment and tell us what you enjoyed at the
